Principal Purpose of Job: We are looking for a skilled individual to undertake tasks of Information Systems development and maintenance. This position will include upgrading and maintaining IT infrastructure for both clients and internal users. Area of focus will include network functions, backup systems, enterprise servers, point of sale, PBX, Wi-Fi, and workstations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client data including but not limited to Employee and Guest data, financial information, email, phone and text records. Answer questions and resolve computer problems for internal & external users.
  • Perform all network upgrades and minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment as needed/required. Design and install well-functioning computer networks, connections and cabling, including single and multi-mode fiber.
  • Apply commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for all IT troubleshooting. Identify and correct any “bottlenecks” to ensure long term efficiency of network. Suggest/recommend advancements in IT infrastructure to ensure long term capability and reliance of network.
  • Monitor, maintain and test data backups to protect the organization’s information.
  • Provide technical direction to co-workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions.
  • Maintain knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network security technologies. Create and retire user accounts. Create and maintain network documentation. Applicant must have exceptional customer service skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities continued:
  • Resolve user requests for support for Windows, Office, Saflok, Hotsos, Open Table, Room Viewer, Skype, etc.
  • Wi-Fi & Telephone systems: Provide support for client locations regarding Wi-Fi & phone systems, including but not limited to ensuring Wi-Fi connectivity, music on hold, setup and configuration along with troubleshooting and correcting software or hardware issues.
  • Develop and maintain a good standing relationship with all support vendors related to IT.
  • IT support after hours as needed.
  • Other job duties as may be necessary for the successful operation of client.
Personal Attributes:
  • Requires high level of skill in PC, server level equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Requires thorough understanding of networking including switches, routing and TCP/IP.
  • Able to communicate and train all levels of employees of the resort through IT issues.
  • Ability to make decisions based on only general policies and procedures.
  • Able to work well independently and with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands:
  • Work flexible, demanding hours
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Able to walk to all locations on the property
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in an IT field
  • Minimum two years experience in an IT field
Special Skills/Equipment:  
  • Prior experience in a resort or hotel environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience with enterprise network architecture preferred.
  • Prior experience with ResortSuite or other PMS & POS preferred equipment/software.
  • Use of network and connectivity systems, A/V equipment, Mitel phone systems, Savin printers, Meraki Wi-Fi, Point of Sale systems, Ubiquiti hardware, VMWare ESXi, pfSense, MS Office, OpenVPN, and MS Server 2008R2 and 2012, Windows 7 and 10, and Ubuntu Linux.
