Sr. Traffic Administrator

Intellisource seeks a Sr. Traffic Administrator for our industrial equipment business partner’s corporate office in Broomfield, CO. The Sr. Traffic Administrator is responsible for scheduling and tendering all customer FTL shipments; schedules domestic non-inventory shipments with LTL and Parcel carriers; as request by purchasing, manufacturing, sales and marketing; monitors carrier web sites as required for delivery accuracy on all types of transportation modes; reconciles and approves all freight invoices with carriers and accounting as required. Also, supports all of traffic employee’s with; researching and filing freight claims and maintaining associated spreadsheet; maintaining tracking system for domestic and international shipments; inputting and updating customer shipping and return information; verifying return information with customer; and preparing international trade compliance documentation as required.
 
Sr. Traffic Administrator Position Overview:
  • Uses load information provided by DC to create and send rate request/load tender to FTL carrier distribution list. Schedules appointment with customers as required and maintains a record of all shipment details in Truckload log.
  • Audits and approves freight invoices to ensure accuracy of information and associated costs.
  • Identifies and informs Customer Service of any discrepancies with invoices and deliveries; investigates and corrects discrepancies.
  • Maintain tracking system for domestic and international shipments utilizing department spreadsheets carrier websites, email and telephone.
  • Prepares, maintains and provides various reports to/for Traffic Manager as requested.
  • Researches freight claims and completes associated claim documentation; mails information to freight company for processing.
  • Maintains freight claims spreadsheet; follow up to ensure claims and payments are processed in a timely manner.
  • Receives customer freight complaints from inside sales/customer service via CRM system; researches complaint and initiates follow up and resolution; updates CRM system and forwards to insides sales/customer service.
  • Sends letter to vendors requesting NAFTA Certificate of Origin information; updates spreadsheet information; prepares required NAFTA Certificates of Origin.
  • Assists all departments with international documentation; enters appropriate tariff classification numbers and maintains import and export log as required.
  • Route and plans international shipments; processes invoices in order to generate required shipping documents; provides accurate documentation to ensure compliance; coordinates questions and discrepancies with Traffic Manager.
 Sr. Traffic Administrator Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, SAP, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and licensing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to be a self-starter and to multi-task
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-4 years of related traffic experience
