IntelliSource is seeking an Information Systems Manager for one of our business partners. The Information Systems Manager will be responsible to support activities for both clients and internal users.  Areas of focus will include PC support to internal user community, support for the business network, support and maintenance of servers, overall connectivity and networking for the business and client/guest PC issues.
Information Systems Manager Position Overview: 
  • Perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment.
  • Test computer programs or systems. 
  • Document and implement an overall network and backbone to support business activities, including automating backups, programming and configuring routers and other devices, interacting with outside vendors for connectivity and designing and implementing advanced network architecture. 
  • Make certain firewalls and other security appliances are in place.
  • Resolve user requests for support for common Microsoft Operating System issues, as well as issues relating to the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Apply commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for all IT trouble-shooting.
  • Understand all standard and customized features and functions of the hotel front office systems, point of sale systems, and other systems, including but not limited to system security, system reports, manager functions, system utilities, and user functions (there is another staff member specializing in these functions).
  • Control all user ID’s, passwords, and security parameters.
  • Set up restrictions on appropriate computers for unneeded internet access.
  • Establish, document, test, and communicate appropriate emergency procedures to follow when the hotel computer system(s) are inoperable. 
  • Establish user policies, terminal servers and desktop delivery.  Focus on security policies and corporate data protection.
Information Systems Manager Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in an IT field
  • Minimum five years’ experience in an IT field
  • Use of network and connectivity systems, phone systems, Microsoft Operating and user software, Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Server
  • Prior experience with network architecture preferred
  • Requires working knowledge of the major areas and the skill to integrate and communicate that information.
  • Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex activities or information in order to improve known practices or develop new approaches.
  • Ability to make decisions based on only general policies and procedures.
  • Must possess communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals, management and/or hotel guests.
  • Able to communicate and train managers and other employees of the resort through IT issues.
  • Able to work well independently and with minimal supervision
  • Put together plans to keep the organization’s IT department current in technology and security
