IntelliSource seeks a Credit Risk Review Officer for our financial business partner’s corporate office in Denver, CO.  The Credit Risk Review Officer is responsible conducting activities related to the company’s loan review process to minimize losses and ensure company lending practices conform to established policy.
Credit Risk Review Officer Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ongoing credit risk assessments for the bank. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing credit files for risk assessment, proper documentation, and quality of underwriting
  • Follow-up as necessary on outstanding concerns identified at credit risk reviews to ensure management is addressing identified problems and correcting issues of concern.
  • Act as the lead credit review officer on assignments, including scheduling and coordinating the review, compiling results, conducting the exit meeting, preparing a written report summarizing review findings, and presenting results to the bank’s Board of Directors or executive management.
  • Consult bank’s executive management, as appropriate, regarding credit risk issues and concerns.
  • Consult Credit Risk Review Manager on problem loan issues and ALLL impact after reviewing various loan status reports.
  • Research and consult on issues/questions relating to credit risk and administration.
  • Provide credit review information, as necessary and appropriate, to regulators and auditors.
  • Act in a primary role in training junior-level Credit Risk Review Officers in conducting loan reviews.
  • Review and assess the adequacy of the bank’s Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL) methodology.
  • Assist Credit Risk Review Manager with other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Credit Risk Review Officer Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years loan review, commercial lending, and credit analysis or related experience required
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of C&I and CRE lending
  • Formal Credit Training is a plus, but not required.
  • Proven level of highly-developed skills in relationship building; ability to manage and mentor lower level credit risk review officers.
  • Good interpersonal communications and customer service skills are required including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel whether in person, in writing or by phone
  • Must be detail oriented, have the ability to work independently and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
